With the COVID-19 pandemic wreaking havoc on the live entertainment industry, my position at the Signature Theatre has evolved past just  live theatre audio and into virtual content as well. For live productions, my duties include setting up and rigging the system, live line mixing of performances and monitoring all backstage audio (Actor mics, band audio, backstage communications, etc...).

This industry heavily relies on seamless collaboration between technicians, artists, designers, etc. With that being said, people skills and a meticulous personality are a must in this line of work. On a daily basis, I'm working with actors and other departments to ensure that a performance will be smooth and consistent.

As a company, we had to adapt during the height of the pandemic to produce some amazing video content for online streaming. These included many remote and on-site musical cabarets as well as one straight play and two full fledged musicals! My basic duties included hiding microphones on actors, monitoring the recording process and mixing a few of the virtual cabarets in Pro Tools.
